The lady yelled, “Excuse me sir, what can I do for you?” Daddy didn’t understand her; he kept pointing at the picture. Then the lady said, [to me] “just order him what you think he wants.” Then she moved on to the next customer and left my dad [there] looking like he was stupid because he wasn’t’ able to hear or either talk or hear what the lady had said. I stood there looking at my dad’s face. It was the face of a man who wished people would treat him like a human being with hearing and speech
