The importance of logopedics therapy

The importance of logopedics therapy in early childhood and speech therapy, mainly in babies 0-3 years old with hearing disorders, was the training that experts Valerio Leonetti, logopedics therapist at the ‘University Hospital Centre in Cagliari’ and Alessandra Resca, logopedics therapist at the Pediatric Hospital ‘Bambino Gesu’ in Rome offered 30 speech therapists from all over Albania.

During the 5-day training, held in Tirana in collaboration with the Albanian Nursing Order, the trainers also shared the experiences and challenges of speech therapy over the years as well as the best practices that are applied in Italy.

The training took place within the project “Improving the living conditions of people with hearing disabilities in Albania”, which is financed by AICS Tirana and implemented by Save the Children in partnership with the Independent Forum for the Albanian Woman.
